Child Guidance: Meeting DCF Licensing Standards

Child guidance is more than responding to behavior—it involves creating safe, nurturing environments where children build relationships, develop social–emotional skills, and learn self‑control. In Wisconsin, child care providers must also follow Department of Children and Families (DCF) rules that protect children’s safety, well‑being, and dignity.

To successfully complete the course, you will need:

  • A computer or mobile device with internet access
  • Audio capability (for videos)
  • The ability to open PDF or Word documents
  • To finish all modules and the final knowledge check
